Please allow me to tell you a bit about this T-Shirt and what was involved in making them. I am constantly striving to put out unique, high quality designs printed on the best T-shirts. I have tried several different T-Shirt’s (Gildan, Tultex, American Apparel) on various blends of cotton, and have hired many different artists (Chad Savage, Pete McDonough, Bob Freeman, Zach McCain, Patrick McWhorter) who are all independent artists that deserve your support.
For this project, Susan and I discussed many ideas for designs and possible artists. She mentioned Joel Robinson to me along with several other individuals. Joel stood out to me. His art, his personality, and his overall vibe are all displayed in his art. Dude has style. We love his work. It was obvious he would be the best fit for our next project. Joel is a very busy man and was kind enough to find some time to work with us.
Joel was very enthusiastic and truly professional. He recommended a printer to me. It was a hard decision for me to not print this design through the printer I have used since day one. The deciding factor was the size of the print which is 15” X 21”. I’ve wanted to do a large print design for a long time. So, for this design I went with a new printer.
Darryl, who printed these tees, is a true artist as well. His T-Shirts are a work of art. I’m proud to have used him for this design. Here’s what Darryl shared with me about the process he used with each of these tees:
He used a discharge process to begin with. Discharge in easy terms is when a bleaching agent is printed onto previously dyed fabrics to remove some or all of the colour. Darryl likes using this technique as it creates more of a softer hand feel than regular white plastisol which can feel heavy and rough. Also with this you can see that when it’s done its process it removes the pilling (fuzziness of fabric) from the shirts and makes for a smoother looking print. Normal discharge is a clear looking base, what he used has a white pigment to it. He also uses discharge waterbase for solid colour prints. No feel at all on the shirts.
We went with Alstyle’s super soft cotton to print on. Darryl recomended these tees because they hold up there size and the collar is a nice size. These are Alstyle’s premium tees. Darryl termed them “The Creme’ de la Creme” of shirts.
Factor in all the effort and resources into the final T-Shirt and we have not only one of the most unique designs ever, but a truly high quality product as well. These T-Shirts are worth every penny. I promise!
Learn more about the T-Shirts HERE.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. If attend Monster-Mania next week (March 9th – 11th) in Cherry Hill, NJ, stop by Joel’s table and say “hello”! We’ll have some shirts available there and some posters!

Things have been quiet here at The Bag And The Crow. There are many reasons for this and I won’t go into them here. My friends and family know the struggles I’ve had over the last couple of years. Again, I won’t get into it here. Just know The Bag And The Crow is here here to stay and we’re moving forward. I had thought about trying new things like publishing books and such. After much thought, I am going to continue to focus on the art of horror.
Since Rock And Shock, Susan & I have brainstormed many ideas and came up with an artist we wanted to work with for some time. It’s become a reality. Our next design will feature artist Joel Robinson. You may recognize Joel’s artwork on the pages of Horrorhound Magazine or you may recognize him from one of the many conventions he attends yearly. We are very pleased with this design and cannot wait to get it to print. At this point I cannot say for sure when they will be up for sale and due to this I felt it would only be right to give you all a preview of things to come…

My first trip to a major con as a vendor was quite an experience. First, let me start by saying that it is very tough to start a horror brand of T-shirts that don’t include Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, and/or any horror movie icons or movie themes. I’ve chosen to stick to my guns and not go this route. As a matter of fact, I stopped wholesaling similiar items once I left Horror Mall. I enjoy working with artists such as
Bob Freeman and Zach McCain. I hire and support these artists in hopes that you will find my product interesting enough to purchase/support and I can continue to not only hire them but to raise awareness of who they are as well as showing off their awesome artwork. One thing Rock And Shock proved to me… I have a very long road ahead of me.
I wish I could tell eveyone that we sold out of every shirt, but that would be a lie. Since I believe in honesty, I will be straightforward and tell you I did not even come close to doing as well as I thought I would.
I still believe in this business. I still believe in each and every one of these designs. I just need to keep pushing and not give up. Someday…
Rock And Shock began on Friday, October 14th, 2011 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. I drove there with author Lee Thompson who had stayed at my home since the prior Sunday. On Friday, Susan, Lee, and I set up the booth. Well, it was mostly Susan who told Lee and I what to do and how she wanted it. The booth as you can see looked amazing!
At 5pm, when the doors opened I nervously awaited the swarm of people that would see the vision of The Bag And The Crow and consume it’s product like a zombie horde on an exposed brain. Never happened. What did happen is my friends Jordan and Scott arrived and we began guzzling apple pie shots like they were water on a steamy hot day. This resulted in an onslaught of photobombs by none other than muah. I was placing myself into all kinds of groups of people in order to have one of my boys take a pic. I was even seen moonwalking around the band Mushroomhead. You want some proof? Here. Take a gander at these great pics of me photobombing unsuspecting people, making new friends and hanging with some of the coolest cats known to man. I’d like to give shouts out to my assisting partner Susan Scofield, Lee Thompson, Andy Royal, Scott Weiser & Jordan Norton, Corrupt Culture, MetalDogz (they even let me watch their table..haha)!, Ken Wood (Shock Totem) and the crew at Sideshow Press!

Even though things didn’t go as planned, there were some pretty great moments and memories that will last a lifetime!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to send out a quick blog about my shop being closed at Horror Mall. For those that do not know, The Bag And The Crow first opened it’s shop at Horror Mall in March 2010 and it has been an honor and a privilege to have been a part of such a unique website.
Several months back, I began feeling it was the right time to move on and open up an online store of my own that focused just on The Bag And The Crow brand. I will not be selling horror movie T-shirts and/or apparel on this new site. You can find those items from a variety of other shops including Wal-Mart. This shop prides itself on paying artists to produce unique only to The Bag And The Crow designs. I encourage each artist to put their personal stamp on each design. I feel this helps to showcase their artwork to others. The concept of The Bag And The Crow has to not only put out some very cool gear, but to help showcase others’ talents as well. I have worked with some very talented artists such as: Bob Freeman, Zach McCain, Pete McDonough, and Patrick McWhorter. You will not find The Bag And The Crow brand anywhere else. This, I feel, makes for a very special product.
Your support of this brand is also a show of support for these very gifted artists. Please stop by and tell them how much you dig there work.
The newest The Bag And The Crow design WICKED (these will debut at Rock And Shock) will be here at headquarters tomorrow. Here is a peek at what the T-shirts look like as well as the stickers:

ODE TO THE CROWMOTHER
BY JENNIFER BAILEY
Lo, Angel of Darkness and Death,
We feel your presence draw nigh,
Your footsteps brush gently the threshold,
Your life-taking sickle held high.
Dark Angel, how we’ve loathed your coming,
Your blade laying low one so dear,
This warrior is tired and weary,
The end of her battle is near.
You’ve swung such a wide arcing path,
We’ve all felt your blade slicing through,
The turbulence shook us, but we stand steadfast,
We resolve now to welcome you.
We fear not your visit or presence,
We’ll all stare you straight in the eye,
We bid you come closer, we know why you’re here,
Her end of life’s journey draws nigh.
Gather her up in your feathery darkness,
Gently cradle her all through the night,
Hold her close, give her comfort,
Fly her up to the land of the light.
May the flight through the night lead to heaven,
Pray leave her pain and suffering at its door,
May she ne’er again feel sadness or sorrow,
Poe’s Raven calls out ‘Nevermore’.
